Making kids crazy in reading.

What happen if we make reading habit for kids since they’re baby? We can ask to Jim Trelease, writer of The Read Aloud Handbook. He said that we can teach our baby to read since 4 month. If we do, at 9 month, they’re able to choose what kind of book they like. And then, at 5 years old, they can teach them themselves to read.
For first, we can introduce book with opening nice page colorful and tell it briefly. Show them what picture it is and imitate the sound. Besides introducing read by wordless picture book, we can read story book whey they woke up or went to sleep.
At 6 month, kids will be happy when their parent brought book for them. They will move almost all of their body to response.
At 9 month, they’re able to choose what kind of book they like. There are many books that more be chosen than the other.
Their interest to read should be kept when they’re growth. Invite them to library or bookstore. As parent, we have to be near with book. When we go, bring them in our bag. It show how valuable knowledge which is saved in papers called book. Talk about book as often as we can, and give praise to nice book. Apply selected response to read more than others. It is called positive reinforcement, so they can be happy to do that.
The result of like reading is their interest to write and ask many things. If they do that, don’t be angry. It means that you’re success in making them like reading.
